Organization Overview
Chris Faber Public Adjusters is a California-based public adjusting firm representing policyholders in the preparation, documentation, and negotiation of property insurance claims. The firm is owned and operated by Christopher Faber, CPCU, and Jo Faber, FCLS, who together bring more than 50 years of combined experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, including extensive carrier-side claims management, supervisory, and litigation-support backgrounds.
The firm takes a selective approach to its caseload, focusing on matters where its expertise can provide the greatest value to policyholders navigating complex or disputed claims, rather than handling a high volume of routine matters. Its work is grounded in the same industry standards, customs, and practices that govern how carriers are expected to investigate, document, and resolve claims — knowledge built from direct experience on the carrier side of the claims process.
Christopher Faber is licensed as a Public Insurance Adjuster in California, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, and Hawaii, and holds the CPCU, AIC-M, PCLA, SPPA, CPAU, and AIS designations. He began his insurance career in 2001 and has held claims and leadership roles at multiple national carriers, including Large Property Territory Manager at Farmers Insurance. Jo Faber holds the Fraud Claims Law Specialist (FCLS) certification and brings a background spanning national carriers, a third-party administrator, SIU investigation, and litigation support at a Los Angeles law firm.
Christopher Faber and Jo Faber also operate Faber Claims Consultants, a separate entity providing independent claims-handling standards analysis and expert witness services to attorneys, insurers, and TPAs. Chris Faber Public Adjusters does not provide expert witness or independent consulting services; that work is conducted separately, through Faber Claims Consultants.
