Jade Bentz

Jade Bentz, vice president of Claims and chief operating officer at Skyline Adjusters, oversees the firm’s operations and claims management across the U.S. and Caribbean. An insurance professional with 18 years of experience, she joined the firm in 2017, after having served in a series of senior positions in claims and operations.

Jade is also honored to be an Officer at NAPIA, currently serving as Treasurer. She leads the Finance Committee, Fundraising Committee, and the Membership, Recruitment and Ambassador Committee, as well serving as an active member on the Professional Education committee, First Party Claims Conference subcommittee, and legislative committee.

Previously, she was vice president of Claims at Canopy Claims Management for four years. At this startup enterprise, she developed claim protocols and led administration and operations.

Earlier, she was with Liberty Mutual Agency Markets, where she held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility in claims and customer service, culminating with her appointment as a commercial property claims specialist in 2010. In this position, she was responsible for handling complex and specialty commercial claims as well as for employee training and development.

In addition to her background in property insurance claims management, she worked in the maritime industry for eight years and was an operations supervisor for a large marina.

A licensed public adjuster in seven states, Ms. Bentz has worked on numerous complex commercial claims, and has extensive knowledge of property insurance policy coverages and interpretation. She also is familiar with the National Flood Insurance Program and has been involved in the preparation and submission of related catastrophe claims.

Ms. Bentz earned a B.S. degree in mathematical sciences from Salisbury University and was a member of the University Honors Program.
