Florida Assocation of Public Insurance Adjusters
FAPIA was founded in 1993 and consists of nearly 500 individuals who have joined together to protect the interests of insured homeowners and businesses. To be considered for membership, individuals must be licensed by the Florida Department of Financial Services and adhere to the FAPIA Code of Ethics. The association is headquartered in Maitland, FL.
Insurance Information Institute
The mission of the Insurance Information Institute (I.I.I.) is to improve public understanding of insurance -- what it does and how it works.
For more than 40 years, the I.I.I. has provided definitive insurance information. Today, the I.I.I. is recognized by the media, governments, regulatory organizations, universities and the public as a primary source of information, analysis and referral concerning insurance.
New York Public Adjusters Association
NYPAA is an association of licensed professional public adjusters and affiliated legal & trade people whose goal is to share ideas, increase knowledge and effectively promote our profession to the public.
The Institutes - American Institute for CPCU (AICPCU) and Insurance Institutes of America (IIA).
The Institutes knowledge solutions include the CPCU designation program; associate designation programs in areas such as claims, risk management, underwriting, and reinsurance; introductory and foundation programs; online courses; research; custom solutions; assessment tools; and continuing education (CE) courses.
UP is a non-profit organization that works for the insured and doesn't take money from insurance companies. They can help guide policyholders through the claims process.
